M2S Laboratory

My research, at the interface of sports science and data science, focuses on the monitoring and modelling of elite swimming performance with dedicated biomechanical tools. Such toolbox allow for user-friendly application in ecological situations of training and competition (both in pool and open water), and then feed into the scientific support of performance. I'm particularly interested in the use of innovative statistical methods (e.g., functional data analysis, clustering, deep learning) to analyse signals from embedded sensors such as inertial measurement units and Global Positioning System.
