M2S Laboratory

Facilities

General presentation

The M2S Laboratory relies on a set of complementary facilities dedicated to the study of human movement, performance, exercise physiology, biological adaptations, and interactions with digital technologies. Together, these facilities support research ranging from detailed movement analysis and physical activity assessment to physiological investigation and biological mechanisms, both in controlled laboratory settings and in applied contexts.

The facilities

  • Immermove: an experimental platform dedicated to the analysis of human movement and interaction, particularly in the field of sport.
  • Exermove: a 100 m² exercise physiology area dedicated to measuring physiological parameters at rest and during exercise.
  • Biomove: a facility focused on investigating cellular and molecular adaptations induced by physical exercise and chronic diseases, especially cancer.
  • Mobilab: a facility identified within the M2S equipment portfolio, intended to support mobile or field-based data collection and experimentation.
  • Animove: another facility within the M2S experimental infrastructure, designed to complement the laboratory’s broader research platform.

Overall structure

Taken together, these facilities create a multi-scale research environment, from biological and physiological measurements to movement analysis and technology-supported experimentation. Their complementarity strengthens the laboratory’s capacity to develop interdisciplinary projects at the intersection of sport sciences, health, experimental methods, and digital or immersive technologies.
