Presentation
My research topics are closely related to wearable physical activity monitors and measurement of physical behavior. I use various wearable devices (accelerometers, pedometers, GPS trackers and connected tools), evaluating their accuracy based on the methods and metrics selected for data analysis (e.g., machine learning, event-based analysis...).
I have specialized in quantifying physical activity in ecological settings that closely reflect real-life conditions. Additionally, I focus on assessing the energy expenditure associated with daily physical activity (primarily walking) which involves intermittent and relatively low-intensity efforts, to enhance our understanding of physiological processes in such contexts.
More broadly, integrating these research areas could contribute to a deeper understanding of the impact of physical activity on health.
